Jason's Words of Wisdom

Recently my good ex-boss was kind enough to send me words of wisdom daily. After accumulating for some days, here is what i recieved from him. The reason i post about it is because maybe in the near future it might come in handy. Besides, SMS very soon will be all gone. Better write it down somewhere and i chose to Blog about it (Its been some time since i last blogged)

1. Lao Tzu

· To become an excellent leader, you have to abandon addiction to praise from above and flattery from below. The excellent leader leads least. He studies the distinctive skills and the natural inclinations of both those above and below, and he directs their attention to accomplish what is required to benefit all. when this has been done, all declare they have been part of a worthwhile purpose

· when you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare and compete, everyone will respect you

2. Confucius

· There are three principles of conduct of which the man of high rank should consider especially important. that is his deportment and manner he keep from violence and hardness; that in regulating his countenance he keep near sincerity; and that in his words and tones he keep from lowness and impropriety

· If one learn from others but does not think, one will be bewildered. if on the other hand, one thinks but does not learn from others, one will be at peril

· When we see men of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves

3. Indira Gandhi

· There are 2 kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there

4. Paramahansa Yogananda

· There is a magnet in your heart that will attract true friends. That is the magnet of unselfishness, thinking of others first. When you learn to live for others, they will live for you

5. Morita Akio

· If you go through life convinced that your way is always best, all the new ideas in the world will pass you by

6. Unknown

· He who sacrifice his conscience to ambition burns a picture to obtain the ashes

· He who asks is a fool for five minutes but he who does not ask remains a fool forever

The important moral for all these quotes are not the words but the value it brings - by marriedmansmoments!
